Put the balls simultaneously into motion by shifting the lever. Observe the arising patterns. Observer until the balls swing in one row again.
The longer the string is, the slower the pendulum, swings. If the ball connected to the longest string swings 20 times, the ball connected to the shortest string swings 32 times. After this number of intervals the balls meet again in one line.
